The COVID-19 Referral Hospital In Jakarta Becomes 98, Here's The List
JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan increased the number of COVID-19 referral hospitals in Jakarta. This addition is the result of an invitation to private hospitals to join in dealing with COVID-19 patients.
This is stated in the Governor's Decree Number 987 of 2020 concerning the Second Amendment to the Governor's Decree Number 378 of 2020 concerning the Designation of a Referral Hospital for COVID-19 Disease Management.
Thus, currently there are 98 referral hospitals for COVID-19 treatment in Jakarta. In details, there are eight hospitals designated by the Ministry of Health and 90 hospitals designated by Anies.
Head of Office Widyastuti explained the reason for adding referral hospitals was based on the calculation of the escalation of COVID-19 cases which continued to increase.
"We have projected cases based on existing data trends. That is our basis for ensuring that later if there are cases that need them, they can be handled quickly," Widyastuti told reporters, Tuesday, October 6.
Then, continued Widyastuti, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government also ensures the quality of care for COVID-19 patients from the referral hospital, which has increased to 98.
"We are not only talking about the bed, but also the quality, making sure that if someone needs the operating room becomes constrained," he explained.
