Cinema Network AMC Theaters Becomes The First To Receive Ticket Payments Using Crypto
JAKARTA - Cinema chain AMC Theaters has started accepting crypto payments via its mobile app. You can use the app to buy movie tickets using Dogecoin, Shiba Inu tokens, and other virtual currencies.
AMC Theaters CEO, Adam Aron, announced the news via Twitter on Friday, April 15. After stating in November that they were exploring how to accept cryptocurrencies, the company now supports crypto payments using Bitpay.
“Exactly as promised, AMC's mobile app for AMC US theaters now accepts online payments using Dogecoin, Shiba Inu, and other cryptocurrencies, thanks to Bitpay. Also Apple Pay, Google Pay and Paypal," wrote Aron.

Aron also added, to be able to make payments with the new method mentioned earlier, you must first update the AMC Theaters application to the latest version.
Concessions and tickets can be purchased through a standard selection process and selecting BitPay as the payment method. Users can choose a cryptocurrency wallet to connect to the app.
