China Concerns About Civilian Casualties In Palestine-Israel Conflict
JAKARTA - China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) expressed concern over the civilian casualties in the conflict between Palestinians and Israeli military forces that took place in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
"China is following the developments of the incident and is deeply concerned about the escalating tensions between the Palestinians and Israel which has led to civilian casualties," MFA spokesman Zhao Lijian was quoted as saying by Antara on Sunday.
He hopes the parties concerned can exercise restraint so that the situation does not escalate.
According to him, China has played a constructive role in resolving the Palestinian issue.
Even a member of the State Council who is also the Minister of Foreign Affairs Wang Yi has put forward three important proposals as a solution to overcome the problems in the two countries.

"We will continue to work relentlessly to resolve the Palestinian issue and together with the international community work towards realizing the best solution for both countries," Zhao said.
Israeli troops carried out indiscriminate actions by arresting and attacking Palestinians in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
In the West Bank, five Palestinians, one of whom was as young as 14, were shot dead by Israeli forces, Al Jazeera reports.
