Police Denies Victims Of Beating PS Store Bosses Have A Family Relationship With The Deputy Chief Of Police
JAKARTA - There is information circulating about the victims of the beating of the PS Store boss, Putra Siregar and RV, Nuralamsyah, who have a family relationship with the police.
Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the South Jakarta Metro Police, AKBP Ridwan Soplanit, denied this information. He confirmed that the victim had no family relationship with the Deputy Chief of Police, Komjen Gatot Eddy Pramono.
"There is no family relationship with Pak Gatot," said Ridwan when confirmed on Sunday, April 17.
However, when asked about the background of the victim, Ridwan was reluctant to provide further information. He said that if they only focus on the main case.
"Ethically, for every incident between the reporting party and the reported party, is it appropriate for us to draw a background while that person never 'I am this person, I am this person', nothing," he said.
"So I mean, we look at the problem, not the background. Even though it has nothing to do with it," he added.
On this occasion, Ridwan confirmed that the victim of beatings by Putra Siregar and RV was a student.
"He just made sure that Nuralamsya was a student," he said.
Previously reported, the South Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Budhi Herdi Susianto explained the chronology of the beatings carried out by RV and Putra Siregar at the CD cafe in Cikajang, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta.
Budhi explained that the incident occurred on March 2, then at around 02.30 WIB with the victim Nuralamsyah. Budhi said, at that time, both the victim and the suspect were in the cafe.
