Josh Brolin Reveals He Almost Played Batman Before Ben Affleck
JAKARTA - Actor Josh Brolin is indeed known as Thanos in the Marvel cinematic universe. But recently he revealed a fact that he almost played Zack Snyder's Batman.
In the broadcast Happy Sad Confused, Josh Brolin explained that he was originally planned to play Batman in the 2016 film Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
However, the director changed his mind after seeing Ben Affleck who finally got the chance. Brolin did not mind when the role fell into Affleck's hands.
"That's interesting to me. But this is his decision (Zack Snyder) not mine," said Josh Brolin.
“I like a project that looks like it's not working, or is working quickly – I like that. So I thought 'Am I the one who made everything fail?” explained Brolin.
Meanwhile, Josh Brolin said he doesn't mind if one day he gets an offer as Batman.
"Honestly maybe it's going to be a fun project and maybe I'll do it when I'm 80," he said.
On the other hand, Ben Affleck returns to play Batman in the film The Flash, which will be released on June 23, 2023. He called the film his last project as a Batman character.
