Amaq Sinta Begal Victim Who Becomes Suspect: I Want To Be Free Before Trial

PRAYA - Murtede alias Amaq Sinta, 34, a resident of Change Village, East Praya District, Central Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara, hopes to be free before trial for the case that happened to him after killing two of the four perpetrators who wanted to seize his motorbike.

"I want to be free so I can relax and work as usual," he said, in Praya, NTB, quoted by Antara, Saturday, April 16.

Amaq Sinta killed the gang of robbers in a state of necessity. If he doesn't fight back, his life will be lost when attacked by gangs of gangsters on the Jalanganti village road, while delivering food and hot water for his mother in East Lombok Regency.

"If I die who will be responsible. So I have to fight back," he said.

Amaq Sinta felt restless when he was in the iron bars, thinking about his wife and two children, and his body still hurts even though there are no injuries. However, he was happy to be free temporarily, after getting a suspension from the Central Lombok Police investigators who had named him a suspect.

"Don't go to trial, I hope to be released quickly," he said.

The case began when he was going to East Lombok to deliver food for his mother. Arriving at the location, he was intercepted and attacked by the perpetrators using sharp weapons. Then he fought the perpetrators with a small knife that he was carrying while shouting for help, but no one came.

In that incident two perpetrators died after being covered in blood. Meanwhile, two other perpetrators fled after two of their friends fell on the spot. "After that I went to the family home to calm down," he said.

As a result of the incident, Amaq Sinta, who has two children, was hit by sharp weapons from the perpetrators. "I do not have intelligence and do not have immune knowledge. But this is indeed I am protected by God," he said.

The case that happened to the robbery victim Amaq Sinta received the spotlight from all parties, a number of Central Lombok residents held a peaceful demonstration to urge the robbery victim to be released.

The West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police took over the case of the alleged murder of two robbers committed by the robber victim Amaq Sinta on the Village Highway, Sunday (10/4).

"The case of the victim of being a robbery suspect is now being handled by the NTB Regional Police," said Head of the NTB Regional Police Inspector General Djoko Puerwanto in a written statement, Thursday.
