BANDUNG - West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil released the first shipment of subsidized bulk cooking oil for the Cooking Oil Ordering Program Via the Greetings Application for Mothers Everywhere or also known as Audience Budiman, at the Pakuan building, Bandung City.

In his speech, Ridwan Kamil appealed to the Head of the Residents Association (RW) in West Java to take advantage of the Greetings Application, and to be actively involved in socializing the Budiman Audience Program.

"We ask RWs throughout West Java to take advantage of the Budiman Audience Program through the Sapawarga Application to help residents, especially now that it's Eid," said Ridwan Kamil as quoted by Antara, Saturday, April 16.

The breakthrough program initiated by the Governor of West Java Ridwan Kamil in the midst of rising prices for basic commodities and fuel oil (BBM) received a good response from the people of West Java.

Since the launch of the Program on April 8, 2022, until now, the public's interest from a number of districts and cities has been relatively high.

Tasikmalaya is the Regency with the most orders for cooking oil, which is 31,870 liters, then Bekasi Regency is 8,966 liters.

In addition, Depok City has 6,828 liters, Garut Regency 6,056 liters, as well as other regencies and cities which are still growing today.

Based on data from the West Java Industry and Trade Office, the number of West Java people who have ordered bulk cooking oil has reached 33,650 families (KK).

They come from 1,038 RW, 461 kelurahan/village, from 237 sub-districts and from 25 cities and regencies. The cooking oil that has been ordered by residents and verified has reached a total of 97,681 liters.

In this first shipment, distribution of bulk cooking oil by PT. Agro Jabar was distributed to Bandung City, Tasikmalaya Regency, and Bogor Regency.

Kang Emil, Ridwan Kamil's nickname, also ensures that the price of bulk cooking oil remains affordable and will continue until the supply crisis and prices return to normal.

"We will maintain the price so that the people are happy. The price is Rp. 14 000 per liter to reach their respective homes. We will continue to work on this until the supply crisis is under control and prices can return to normal," said Kang Emil.

The governor explained that the Budiman Audience Program was also rolled out to avoid the queues of residents buying cooking oil, especially in the month of Ramadan.

Regarding bulk cooking oil, continued Emil, the region cannot control its supply-demand, however, the West Java Provincial Government is trying to provide solutions for West Java residents.

"The supply-demand issue is not the main function of the local government. The West Java Provincial Government in this case provides a solution to relieve the people of (West Java), so they don't have to queue because because of the long queues there are incidents that cause me to faint. That's what worries me as a leader," he said. .

Meanwhile, Head of the West Java Industry and Trade Office, Iendra Sofyan, said that this subsidized bulk cooking oil was intended to ease the burden on the community following the high retail price of bulk cooking oil on the market.

Iendra guarantees that by ordering bulk cooking oil through the Sapawarga application, no family head can order more than twice a month.

"Ordering cooking oil with proof of KK as well as a clear address and contact number that can be contacted, we make sure there are no KK who order double," said Iendra.

"Each family can only temporarily order one liter for a period of one month, from the original three liters, due to consideration of stock availability and equity. We also make sure the quality is good," he said.
