Three Markets Become Congestion Points When Homecoming, Cirebon Police Alert Members

JAKARTA - Cirebon City Police Chief AKBP Fahri Siregar said there were three traditional markets that could become congestion points for travelers during the 2022 Lebaran homecoming period.

"There are three bottlenecks during the homecoming flow, namely at Celancang Market, Mundu, and Harjamukti," he said, quoted by Antara, Friday, April 15.

According to Fahri, with the potential for congestion at three traditional market points, his party will assign members to reduce congestion.

In addition, Fahri continued, his party will also regulate illegal parking along the shoulders of the three markets, so as not to cause severe congestion.

"We will place a pospam (security post) in the market. We will also alert members to regulate traffic flow," he said.

Fahri said that his party conducted a survey of the homecoming route in the jurisdiction of the Cirebon City Police, and the result was that there was no damage to the roads that would be passed by the travelers.

Because, continued Fahri, the main route for going home is still very feasible and there are no obstacles at all, so travelers can walk safely.

According to him, there are three main routes that lead to Central Java, through the jurisdiction of the Cirebon City Police, namely from Indramayu to Kapetakan, then Cirebon City.

Then from the direction of Indramayu, to Kedawung and to the city of Cirebon, as well as the route from Kuningan, Penggung, then the direction of Central Java.

"The road sections used for the homecoming flow are ensured to be in a safe and good condition," he said.
