Already Met Luhut To Prabowo Chinese Ambassador Greet Indonesian Citizens Via Twitter: Hello Everyone, I'm Lu Kang
JAKARTA - The Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Indonesia Lu Kang has a new Twitter account to introduce himself and greet the Indonesian people.
In his first tweet on Wednesday (13/4), the former spokesman for the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) used Mandarin, English, and of course Indonesian.
"Hello everyone, I'm Lu Kang, the Chinese Ambassador to Indonesia," he said on Twitter, quoted by Antara, Thursday, April 14.
With the account @Amb_LuKang, he reminded that April 13, 2022 marked 72 years of diplomatic relations between China and Indonesia.
"I had the pleasure of meeting all of you on Twitter today," he wrote.
"I would like to thank my friends from all walks of life in Indonesia for their greetings, encouragement and support," continued the diplomat born in Shandong province.
"As China's Ambassador to Indonesia, I will work closely with Indonesian colleagues and friends to enhance cooperation between the two countries and strengthen the friendship between our two peoples," he added.
Since arriving in Indonesia and handing over his credentials to President Joko Widodo, Lu has met parliamentary leaders, a number of government officials, religious leaders and academics.
Among the officials Lu met with were Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto, Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno Marsudi, and Minister of Defense Prabowo Subianto.
When he met Airlangga, he discussed improving economic and trade relations as well as the G20 Summit in Bali in 2022.
The intensity of Lu's communications with the country's officials shows how close China and Indonesia are, the Global Times, China's leading daily, wrote on Thursday.
