Good News For Those Of You Who Are Injected With The First Dose Of Janssen Vaccine, You Can Get A Booster Right Away
JAKARTA - Spokesperson for the Ministry of Health, Siti Nadia Tarmizi, stated that recipients of a single dose of Janssen (J&J) vaccine may immediately receive a booster or booster dose of vaccination.
"So one dose of J&J is the same as two doses of other vaccines, so you can immediately get a booster," said Nadia, quoted by Antara, Thursday, April 14.
Nadia said that according to the Circular of the Director General of Disease Prevention and Control of the Indonesian Ministry of Health Number SR.02.06/II/1188/2022 regarding the addition of a further dose of the COVID-19 Vaccine Regimen, J&J vaccine recipients can get a Moderna type booster vaccine.
Nadia, who is also the Secretary of the Directorate General of Public Health at the Ministry of Health, said that people who have received the first dose of J&J vaccine have received a complete vaccination.
Furthermore, he said, the booster vaccine was administered within three months after the first dose of J&J vaccine was injected.
"This will be accommodated in the vaccination certificate at PeduliLindung. For one-time J&J vaccine recipients, it will be recorded that the vaccination is complete at PeduliLindung," he said.
If three months have passed, said Nadia, then you can get a ticket for a booster vaccination with Moderna.
"So we see the rules regarding this J&J that with one vaccination the dose is complete. So we can continue to get booster vaccines," he said.
