Volunteer Anies Baswedan Denies Participating In Ade Armando's Provocation Of Beating Up
JAKARTA - The general chairman of Brigade 08 who became an Anies Baswedan volunteer, Zecky Alatas denied that his party was involved in provoking the beating of social media activist Ade Armando during a student demonstration in front of the DPR/MPR building.
Zecky said the perpetrator named Arif Ferdini or Arif Pardhiani who was arrested by the police related to the Ade Armando case, was not a member of the Anies Baswedan volunteer.
"The news that the perpetrators are our members (Brigade 08) is not true. Although, there are pictures and attributes used by the perpetrators. I emphasize that the perpetrators are only sympathizers from our organization," said Zecky Alatas when he was met at Mako Brigade 08, Cipinang Muara, Jakarta, Between, Thursday, April 14th.
Zecky said he had not been a member of Brigade 08 since 2017 and his party had not communicated for a long time.
"We have no communication and do not know about his activities and activities. Although, he keeps a photo with the organization with the Governor of DKI, Anies Baswedan on social media," said Zecky.
For this incident, he also regretted that the perpetrator was referred to as volunteer Anies Baswedan for provocation by inviting the masses to take to the streets on the grounds that there were tear gas shots from the police.
"We are very disappointed with the mention of our organization's name, it tarnishes the image and big name of Brigade 08. Moreover, there is news that mentions Anies Baswedan volunteers who committed acts of violence," said Zecky.
Zecky Alatas appealed to the public not to be swayed by rumors that were not necessarily true. Moreover, the issue cornered his organization.
"So, don't spread hoaxes, if I pay attention to this incident. Every incident that leads to violence is always cornered by the volunteer, Pak Anies Baswedan," he said.
Previously, the Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya Kombes E Zulpan said Arif Ferdini provoked him through a video that was distributed through social media.
"The person in question carried out provocations, including saying that Ade Armando was dead and everyone in Jakarta came down," said Zulpan.
