Social Minister Risma Gives Compensation To Families Of Victims Of The Papuan KKB Attack

SIDOARJO - Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini handed over compensation to the families of victims of attacks by armed criminal groups (KKB) in Yalimo Regency and in Nduga Regency, Papua, at Mako Brigif 2 Marines in Sidoarjo, East Java.

"We, on behalf of the government, offer our deepest condolences," Risma said, quoted by Antara, Thursday, April 14.

Risma said the deceased were warriors who had defended the motherland.

"Let's join hands together to help our brothers and sisters in Papua so that later they can feel like other parts of Indonesia," he said.

The Minister of Social Affairs prayed for the bereaved family to be given strength and for the injured to recover.

"Please be assured that this struggle is sincerely helping the welfare of the residents there so that it is conducive," he said.

Risma said that the family left behind should not be afraid because at some point in time they were against the conditions and the spirit of struggle had to be continued.

"Also, the sick should not be discouraged, sure that God will give the best for us," he said.

Sertu Eka Andriyanto Hasugian is known to have died due to gunfire from an unknown person Thursday morning (31/3), at a kiosk belonging to the victim on Trans Elelim Street, Elelim Village, Elelim District, Yalimo Regency, Papua.

Eka's wife, Sri Lestari, also suffered serious injuries from a gun, and died on the way to the Puskesmas. This husband and wife leave two children, namely Muh. Fino (4 years) and Elvano Putra Faezya (3 years). Compensation and assistance were handed over to Muh's heirs. Aris as the father of Sertu Eka.

Meanwhile, the victims who died from the attack by the Armed Criminal Group (KKB), were First Lieutenant (Mar) Posthumously Muhammad Ikbal with Maris's heirs and Posthumous Praka (Mar) Wilson Anderson Here with Karil Here's heirs.

To the victim's family from Sertu Eka, the Ministry of Social Affairs handed over compensation to the heirs of Rp. 30 million, assistance to meet the needs of the family's life of Rp. 200 million, food packages, children's games, bicycles, nutrition, pampers, children's clothing and certificates of appreciation.

Meanwhile, the heirs of the victims, Lettu (Mar) Muhammad Ikbal and Praka (Mar) Wilson, were each given assistance in the form of compensation for the heirs of Rp. 15 million, assistance to meet the needs of family living in the amount of Rp. 100 million, food packages and certificates of appreciation.

Seriously injured victims include Sergeant (Mar) Rendi Febriansyah, Sergeant (Mar) Bayu Pratama and Private (Mar) Adik Saputra who are being treated at dr. Soetomo Surabaya.

While minor injuries were Serda (Mar) Ebit Erisman Sikubu, Prada (Mar) La Harmin and Prada (Mar) Alif Dwi Saputra who were being treated at RSAL dr. Oetojo Sorong.

Other minor injuries were treated at the Papua Mupe Task Force Kotis, namely Private (Mar) Rahmad Sulman, Private (Mar) Antonius Nino, Private (Mar) Dekki Pandra and Prada (Mar) Dicky Sugara.

The Ministry of Social Affairs provided assistance to victims of serious injuries amounting to Rp. 5 million each, while for victims of minor injuries Rp. 2,500,000.
