PT Tera Data Indonusa Ready To Produce 50,000 Technopreneurs Through The Vocational Digital Center Program

JAKARTA - The role of entrepreneurship for a country is quite essential, especially in driving the national economy. Indonesia has an entrepreneurial ratio of 3 percent while the entrepreneurship rate index in various developed countries is 12 percent.

To fill this gap, it is not only the task of the government but stakeholders need to move together. This is why PT Tera Data Indonusa (TDI) is committed to encouraging an increase in the number of entrepreneurs in Indonesia, especially Technopreneurs through the Vocational Digital Center program.

TDI is targeting cooperation through the signing of as many as 1,000 SMKs. It is hoped that from 1 SMK it can give birth to 50 entrepreneurs in the IT field so TDI's target is to be able to create 50,000 Technopreneurs from this Digital Center program.

Some time ago, on Thursday, April 7, TDI started this series of programs, which began by holding seminars and workshops for 100 vocational schools in Probolinggo, East Java. This activity received positive enthusiasm, as seen from the number of participants reaching 400 people, and was supported by the local government. A similar event will also be held again on Thursday, April 14 in Malang, East Java.

TDI as one of the leading IT companies in Indonesia with its flagship laptop brand, Axioo, is observing the condition of the need for competent young talent in Indonesia. This center program is a capable forum for students who want to hone their skills to become a technopreneur.

The launching ceremony for the Digital Vocational Center program was marked by the signing of the MOU of the Axioo Class Program with Vocational Schools throughout the City and Probolinggo Regency which was attended by Mr. Umayya as GM Retail Sales of PT Tera Data Indonusa and Mr. Timmy Timothy Theopelus as Education Program Director of Axioo and was also attended by the Mayor Probolinggo and the ranks of the heads of the City & Regency offices, the Head of the Probolinggo Vocational Service Branch and the Principals of the Vocational Schools in Probolinggo on Tuesday, April 12.

Currently, the first Axioo Sentra Digital SMK (Vocational High School) has been established, namely SMK Pertiwi Kuningan, Kuningan Regency, West Java, as the Main National Reference Vocational School for Axioo Class Program for Indonesia. This program has proven to have supported the creation of entrepreneurial-printing vocational schools.

The Indonesian government through various ministries participates in promoting self-potential development programs, especially for vocational education. The ministry that supports this training program is the Ministry of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia.

In the implementation of the program, TDI has designed a series of strategic programs that will be carried out by the participants of the activity later. Some of these programs include Training & Workshop for teachers, Business Center Development, Training and Certification for SMK (Vocational High School) students, alumni mentoring and job-ready training for alumni.

"The series of programs that we will present are initiatives that we believe are capable of designing participants' thinking to be process-oriented and solving a problem. Other than that, we believe that the curriculum we apply to the training will also be adapted to the needs of participants", added Umayya.

Ninik Ira Wibawati as the Regional Secretary representing the Mayor of Probolinggo expressed her hope in front of dozens of invitations from the leaders of State/Private Vocational Schools throughout the Regency and City of Probolinggo, so that in the future they will be able to open wider job opportunities.

"We really support and welcome the collaboration between schools and the private sector, Vocational High Schools must be able to produce great and reliable students. Hopefully in the future there will still be many businesses that embrace schools, work together to create the widest possible job opportunities", Ninik explained.

The program implemented is the transfer of knowledge for Community Work Training Centers (BLKK), starting from how to organize a selection and training process based on industrial methods to how to find support for activities so that the training can run independently carried out in this training.

This method has proven to be successful in channeling 100 percent of its graduates into the world of work. Through this program, TDI has also received appreciation from the International Labor Organization (ILO).
