Police Finally Freed The Victim Of A Robbery Who Was Made A Suspect For Fighting Until The Perpetrator Died
PRAYA - Central Lombok Police, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) has suspended the detention of the robber victim S (34) who has been named a suspect in the case of the deaths of two robbers on the village highway.
"He was released after receiving a letter of suspension from his family knowing the village government," said East Praya Police Chief Iptu Sayum in Praya as reported by Antara, Wednesday, April 13.
When asked about the further legal process, the Sector Police Chief said the handling was at the Central Lombok Police.
"Please confirm with the Chief of Police," he said.
Meanwhile, the village head of Change, H Acih said that his residents had been suspended from detention after being suspects for killing robbers
"Alhamdulillah, we have been given a postponement," he said.
Previously, the Central Lombok Police Satreskrim determined the victim of a robbery initial S (34) as a suspect in the case of two robbers who died in the early hours of Sunday, April 10.
"The investigation into this case has been upgraded to an investigation, after examining witnesses," said Central Lombok Police Deputy Chief Commissioner Ketut Tamiana.
In addition to establishing the victim as a suspect in the alleged murder and assault case, two friends of the robbers with the initials WH and HO, residents of Beleka Village who fled, were also named suspects in the theft crime case.
"Victims of robbery (the alleged murderer, ed) are subject to Article 338 of the Criminal Procedure Code for eliminating someone's life, violating the law and Article 351 of the Criminal Procedure Code paragraph (3), committing abuse resulting in the loss of a person's life," he said.
The incident occurred when the victim went to East Lombok to deliver rice to his mother. Furthermore, in the middle of the road, the victim was grabbed by two robbers. The victim fought back using a sharp weapon.
Not long after, two friends of the perpetrators came and also fought against the victim.
In this case, the evidence confiscated were four sharp weapons and three motorbikes which were allegedly used by the victim and the perpetrators.
"One victim fought four perpetrators, which resulted in the death of two robbers with the initials P (30) and OWP (21), a resident of Beleka Village. Meanwhile, the other two perpetrators fled and have now been arrested, he said.
