This Former Tottenham Midfielder Denies Paying IDR 95 Million To Have Sex With A 19-year-old Socialite
JAKARTA - One of the highest-paid players on the Canadian soccer team has denied allegations that he has paid a teenager for sex.
Victor Wanyama, a Montreal Impact midfielder who previously played in the Premier League, said he had never even met the woman.
The British daily newspaper Daily Mail reported that Shakila, a 19-year-old socialite, claimed on Instagram Live that she had been paid for sexual relations by a number of Kenyan celebrities, including Wanyama.
Shakila said Wanyama, 29, paid her nearly £ 5,000 for sex, although she did not say when the alleged incident took place.
Shakila also accused rapper Khaligraph Jones. But after having a strong reaction he corrected his remarks by saying: “I am forced to do this public apology because I damaged the public image of @khaligraph_jones with whatever I said yesterday due to the influence of alcohol and reverse psychology.
"Papa Jones, I'm sorry. The rest stated is true and any claims submitted will not be taken and handled personally. "
Wanyama said on Twitter that these were "fabricated and derogatory" accusations.
"The allegations made in it are totally fabricated and are only the imagination of the maker," Wanyama tweeted. "I NEVER met anyone in this video."
"I have worked long and hard to build my character and stand out in society," said Wanyama, adding that he had spoken with his lawyer.
“I am ready to do my best to protect my good name and character.
"As a result, and with the blessing of my management team, I have instructed my legal team to pursue ALL remedies available to me and for which I have unconditional rights to seek them."
