The Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology Recruits 758.018 PPPK Teachers In 2022
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) recruited 758.018 government employee teachers with work agreements (PPPK) in 2022.
The Director-General of Teachers and Education Personnel of the Ministry of Education and Culture, Iwan Syahril, said that until now the local government has only proposed 131.239 teachers or 17.3 percent of the quota to take part in the 2022 PPPK selection.
According to him, the teachers proposed by the regional government to participate in the 2022 PPPK selection include religious teachers, arts and culture teachers, kindergarten teachers, as well as physical education, sports, and health teachers.
Iwan said that the Ministry of Education and Culture together with the National Selection Committee, the Ministry of Finance, and the Ministry of Home Affairs would continue to coordinate with local governments regarding the recruitment of first aid teachers.
"Currently we are waiting for the issuance of the rules for the new PPPK selection mechanism for us to socialize and coordinate with all local governments as soon as possible. We are doing this so that we can solve problems that occur in 2021 so that they do not happen again in 2022, so that the recruitment process will be better," he said in an official statement quoted by Antara, Wednesday, April 13.
According to Iwan, the third phase of the PPPK teacher recruitment in 2021 will be carried out together with the recruitment to fill the formation of the first PPPK teacher in 2022, bringing the total number of PPPK teachers to be recruited to 970.410 people.
"The third formation in 2021 will not disappear, it will still exist and will be combined with the 2022 formation," he said.
He explained that the refinement of the recruitment rules was carried out by considering the teachers who passed the selection according to the assessment standards.
"Actually we know that if the formation is optimally proposed, it is very likely that teachers who have passed the passing grade will get the formation," he said.

Regarding the local government's uncertainty regarding salary budgeting, Iwan said the Ministry of Education and Technology together with the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Ministry of Finance had submitted a letter Circular of the Directorate General of Fiscal Balance of the Ministry of Finance No. S-98/PK/2021 which explains the calculation of the salary of first aid teachers in the 2021 budget year allocation.
Iwan said that the Circular Letter of the Director-General of Fiscal Balance No. S-204/PK/2021 addressed to governors, regents, and mayors explained the calculation of the teacher PPPK budget in the General Allocation Fund (DAU) for the 2022 budget year.
"The basic salary for teachers in 2022 is 14 months, including the Holiday Allowance (THR) and 13th salary, assuming that teachers who graduate in 2021 will start getting paid in January 2022. As for teachers who graduate in 2022, they will start getting paid in October 2022. so they will get three months of salary," Iwan explained.
He appealed to local governments as soon as possible to propose the formation of PPPK teachers in 2022.
