Police Preparing Traffic Engineering To Result In Labor Demonstrations At The DPR In The Near Future
JAKARTA - The Traffic Directorate (Ditlantas) Polda Metro Jaya implemented a diversion of traffic around the MPR / DPR RI Building. The traffic engineering was carried out because of a labor demonstration to reject the Omnibus Law or the Work Creation Bill (RUU) in the near future.
Director of the Polda Metro Jaya Ditlantas, Kombes Sambodo Purnomo Yogo said, the diversion of traffic flow included, among other things, vehicles heading to Jalan Gerbang Pemuda heading to Jalan Gatot Subroto being turned back in front of Gate 10 Senayan towards Jalan Gerbang Pemuda again.
Then, the traffic flow from the inner-city toll road that will exit off the Pulo Dua ramp will be straightened towards the Tomang Toll Road. Vehicles from Jalan Palmerah Timur to Jalan Gelora are aligned to Jalan Tentara Pelajar.
Finally, the traffic flow from Jalan Gerbang Pemuda towards Jalan Gelora will be directed to turn left on Jalan Asia Afrika.
"Traffic engineering is situational. So it depends on conditions in the field," Sambodo told reporters, Monday, October 5.
With the diversion of traffic flow, Sambodo appealed to all motorists to avoid these areas. So, later there will be no accumulation of vehicles.
"Avoid the Youth Gate Street, Student Army Street, Gelora Street, East Palmerah Street and Gatot Subroto Street," he said.
For your information, the demonstration against the Omnibus Law or the Work Creation Bill (RUU) will be followed by workers from the Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang and Bekasi (Jabodetabek) areas massively.
However, the time for the demo is not yet known. It's just that, the police are on guard to anticipate the demonstration.
