TE Celebrity Testifies At The Online Prostitution Muncikari Session At The Semarang District Court
SEMARANG - The Public Prosecutor (JPU) of the Semarang District Court (PN) has asked for information from an Instagram celebrity woman (celebgram), with the initials TE, as a witness in the criminal case of trafficking in persons that ensnared the defendant Junaidi Bobby.
Wearing a cream-colored headscarf and white trousers, TE was questioned in a trial closed to the public at the Semarang District Court, Tuesday, April 12.
After the trial, Public Prosecutor Achmad Riyadi said that TE was asked for information regarding the chronology of his acquaintance with the defendant Bobby, until he was finally arrested by the police at the Louis Kienne Hotel, Semarang.
"Asked for information about what happened. The witness said he regretted it," said Achmad Riyadi as reported by Antara.
During the trial, he said, the witness also admitted that he had been given Rp. 5 million of the Rp. 25 million promised by the defendant Bobby. Apart from TE, there is also another witness who is a hotel security guard.
The victim of the defendant Bobby, who is a foreign citizen (WNA) with the initials FDB, was not summoned in court for questioning.
"For the FDB, it is possible that they have returned to their country," he added.
The trial led by Chief Justice Nenden Rika Puspitasari was held with the agenda of examining the accused. The defendant Junaidi Bobby, along with TE and FDB, were arrested by officers from the General Criminal Investigation Directorate of the Central Java Police on December 15, 2021. TE and FDB were secured in their respective hotel rooms while serving guests.
In that case, the defendant Bobby Junaidi was snared in layers under Law Number 21 of 2007 concerning the Eradication of the Crime of Trafficking in Persons, Article 296 or Article 506 of the Criminal Code concerning Prostitution.
