Hotels With COVID-19 Isolation In DKI Are 82 Percent Filled
JAKARTA - Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Ahmad Riza Patria said that the three hotels that have been operated for the isolation of COVID-19 patients in Jakarta have been filled quite a lot.
This is known after he checked the availability of hotel beds for positive isolation patients in the category of people without symptoms (OTG). He said, currently the hotel has been occupied up to 82 percent.
"On average, 74 to 82 percent of the hotel rooms we prepare are filled," Riza told reporters, Sunday, October 4.
There are three hotels that have operated, including the Ibis Hotel in Mangga Dua, Pademangan, North Jakarta; U Stay Hotel, Tebet, South Jakarta; and the Ibis Hotel, Senen, Central Jakarta.
He gave an example of the occupancy at the Hotel Ibis Mangga Dua. The hotel has prepared 200 rooms. As of today, 177 rooms have been used by patients for isolation.
"In this hotel (Ibis) there are 205 rooms prepared and 177 rooms are used," he said.
The provision of isolation is a program of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf) supported by the Ministry of Health (Kemenkes). OTG cases isolated in hotels under this program are free of charge.
"The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government and the central government have prepared all the necessary facilities and infrastructure, health workers, medicines, PPE, and all the necessities. The people of Jakarta do not need to worry, we will provide the best possible handling services," said Riza.
To be able to isolate at the hotel, initially the patient received a referral from the puskesmas to be able to isolate. Then, hotel employees prepare the room as isolation.
Every day, there are health workers who check the patient's condition, see the history of the disease, and prepare vitamins for the OTG patient.
Regarding daily food, hotel management accepts nutritious menu categories according to the direction of the health office. When the food is ready, the hotel staff will deliver the food to each patient's room.
If at any time the condition of one of the OTG patients weakens, the health office officer on standby at the hotel will check the patient's condition and decide to transfer the patient to be hospitalized. In each hotel, there are ambulances on standby to escort patients if they need treatment.
