One Dead And Seven Injured In Explosion Near Lebanese Shia Center Of Activities
JAKARTA - At least one person was killed and seven injured in an explosion near a center of activity affiliated with the Shia Charity Movement near Sidon, southern Lebanon, officials said early Tuesday.
The explosion destroyed the building. Meanwhile, military personnel are searching through the rubble for further casualties, the sources added. The explosion also damaged a nearby town hall.
A security source told Reuters as quoted April 12 that the explosion was not an act of sabotage, without disclosing further details.
Earlier on December 10, a large explosion rocked a Palestinian camp in the southern Lebanese port city of Tire, injuring about a dozen people, according to rescue workers at the scene and Palestinian sources inside the camp.

The state-run National News Agency (NNA) reported that the explosion came from a Hamas weapons depot in the Burj al-Shemali camp and a judge had ordered security forces to launch an investigation.
