United States MotoGP Champion, Bastianini Reluctant To Talk About The Opportunity To Win The 2022 Title
JAKARTA - Gresini Racing racer, Enea Bastianini again made a slick record in the fourth series of MotoGP 2022. Appearing at the MotoGP United States on Monday, April 11 in the morning WIB, Bastianini successfully finished as the fastest.
The slick result at the Austin Circuit completes Bastianini's good report card, which has twice recorded champion status so far in the four series of events this season. However, Bastianini refuses to be big-headed and doesn't want to be complacent about the chance to win the 2022 MotoGP title.
"I positioned myself as a former rookie. For that (season title) I am still learning because I know something is not complete," Bastianini said after the race, quoted from GPOne, Monday.
"Now we will go to Europe and there we will all be closer. I still have to see if I can repeat it (my achievement so far). We have only had four draws, the championship is still long but I made a good start, "he continued.
Success in winning two of the four series that have been held so far is a very good record for Bastiani. Moreover, this is only the second season for the Italian racer in navigating the most elite motorcycle racing event in the world.
For this good record, Bastianini currently occupies the top position of the MotoGP rider standings in 2022. He has collected 61 points or is 5 points ahead of Alex Rins who trailed him in second position.
Meanwhile, the third position belongs to Aprilia racer, Aleix Espargaro. While the 2021 MotoGP world champion, Fabio Quartararo is in fifth position with 44 points.
