Ready To Fight In League 1, Rans Cilegon Officially Appoints Rahmad Darmawan As Coach
JAKARTA - Rans Cilegon FC has officially appointed Rahmad Darmawan as their new coach. The 55-year-old coach will bring Raffi Ahmad's team to compete in the Indonesian League 1 for the 2022/2023 season.
The announcement of Rahmad Darmawan as the Rans coach was made on Monday, April 11 afternoon WIB. This is the second time that the coach, who is familiarly called RD, has managed RANS after previously helping this club to become the runner-up of Liga 2.
"So today is the signing of coach Rahmad Darmawan to return to become the head coach of Rans Cilegon FC," said Raffi at a press conference as uploaded by Rans' Instagram account.
Rans not only maintains Rahmad Darmawan in the coaching ranks. They also continue to appoint old names such as Mohammad Nasuha and Bayu Eka Sari as assistant coaches.
Raffi Ahmad said that his team would also prepare themselves along with the appointment of Rahmad Darmawan as head coach. The preparation includes the unloading of players before the competition begins.
"Maybe after this we will announce to any players, but not all of them have been completed. But for foreign players we also have. For foreigners there are Asian and non-Asian," Raffi continued.
Rans Cilegon got a promotion ticket to Liga 1 along with two other teams, namely Persis Solo and Dewa United. Persis Solo himself qualified for League 1 with the status of League 2 champion, while Dewa United got a League 1 ticket when he finished third in League 2.
