Ade Armando Beaten And Stripped In Front Of The DPR, Kurawa: Being A Jokowi Supporter Is A Heavy, Daily Food Threat
JAKARTA - Social media activist Rudi Valinka alias Kurawa has opened his voice regarding the beating experienced by Ade Armando. The University of Indonesia (UI) lecturer was even stripped naked during a mass demonstration in front of the Jakarta DPR Building on Monday, April 1.
According to Kurawa, being a supporter of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) does not escape threats from a number of parties. This risk is often experienced by the surrounding environment.
"So Jokowi's supporters are heavy, when it comes to threats, it's a daily meal," he said on his Twitter account @kurawa on Monday, April 11.
Kurawa said that before what happened to Ade Armando today, Ninoy Karundeng had felt the same way. The Jokowi volunteer was kidnapped and tortured.
In his Twitter account, Kurawa also uploaded news snippets about Ninoy and Ade after receiving the beatings. He branded the culprit a group from the 'Desert'.
"Two people have felt the severity of the torture of the group who believed that in 5 years Indonesia would become a desert. They were loudly criticizing the PKI with the PKI's methods as well," he said.
Ade became the butt of a group of people at the gates of the Senayan Jakarta Parliament Complex on Monday, April 11. His face was beaten so badly that his temples were bleeding.
Ade came to the front of the DPR Building to support the call for the All-Indonesian Student Executive Board (BEM SI) to reject the postponement of the 2024 General Election. The social media activist was present to mingle with the mass demonstrations.
It is estimated that 1,000 students from a number of campuses in Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, and Tangerang will be involved in the BEM SI demonstration.
BEM SI took to the streets today carrying four demands, namely:
1. Urge and demand that the representatives of the people listen and convey the aspirations of the people, not the aspirations of the party.
2. Urge and demand representatives of the people to pick up the aspirations of the people as the mass actions that have been carried out from various regions from March 28, 2022 to April 11, 2022.
3. Urge and demand that the people's representatives do not betray the state constitution by making amendments, firmly rejecting the postponement of the 2024 election or a 3-term term of office.
4. Urge and demand representatives of the people to submit a study accompanied by 18 student demands to the president which have not yet been answered.
