DKI Opens 4 AKAP Bus Terminals For Lebaran Homecoming, Prepares 3 Additional Terminals If Passengers Soar

JAKARTA - Head of the DKI Transportation Agency, Syafrin Liputo, said that the DKI Provincial Government has opened four interprovincial intercity bus terminals (AKAP) for Lebaran homecoming services this year.

"For Jakarta, we have prepared four inter-provincial inter-city terminals, namely Pulogebang Terminal, Kampung Rambutan Terminal, Kalideres Terminal, and Tanjung Priok Terminal," said Syafrin at DKI City Hall, Monday, April 11.

Syafrin said that his party has also prepared three additional terminals to anticipate the surge of travelers returning to their hometowns.

The three additional terminals are located in South Jakarta, West Jakarta and North Jakarta, namely Lebak Bulus Terminal, Grogol Terminal, and Muara Angke Terminal.

"We have also prepared three assistance terminals to anticipate the surge in passengers as it is known that the Minister of Transportation has announced that there are approximately 13 million residents who will return home from the Jabodetabek area," explained Syafrin.

DKI has not prepared additional terminals in the East Jakarta area because the Kampung Rambutan and Pulogebang terminals are considered sufficient to serve travelers.

In addition, his party has also prepared tents at three additional terminals that will be opened in anticipation of the surge in travelers.

This tent will be used as a place for passengers to wait for the arrival of the bus until the scheduled departure, so as to prevent queues at the departure terminal.

"Those who will depart later can rest in the tents that have been prepared. The temporary tent is a shelter for prospective passengers who will depart to adjust the schedule," said Syafrin.
