PDI Perjuangan Rakernas And Focuses To Be Discussed In It

JAKARTA - PDI Perjuangan will hold a National Working Meeting (Rakernas) as well as commemorating the 47th Anniversary at JIExpo, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta. In this event, there are three agendas that will be discussed, namely related to science, the spice industry, and the environment.

PDI-P Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto said his party wanted the various research and innovation industries to be included in the State Policy Guidelines (GBHN). The reason is, this is important to build the welfare of the country.

"Strategic matters are related to the state's direction through strategic policies that are carried out with the spirit of standing on one's feet or being independent," said Hasto in a press conference at the PDIP DPP Office, Jalan Diponegoro, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Wednesday, January 8.

Apart from science, Hasto said, PDIP wants the past glory of spices to rise again. Therefore, the Rakernas will later feature an exhibition of Indonesian spices, food sources and spices. The exhibition will open on Friday, January 10 at 19.00 until Sunday, January 12 at 18.00 WIB.

Apart from these two issues, the environment will be brought up in the Rakernas. The reason is that environmental damage that causes floods, landslides, and garbage, as well as loss of springs, is a problem today. PDIP will invite BMKG, BNPB, as well as environmental experts and related parties to become the pioneers of flood prevention throughout Indonesia.

The National Working Meeting which will be held on January 10-12 will invite around 4,731 participants from the legislative, executive and legislative branches. This event only relies on the mutual cooperation of cadres, and does not accept donations from other parties. This policy has been strengthened by a circular from the DPP.

"Because there is a circular, the implementation of the National Working Meeting will apply full discipline as the responsibility of the pioneer party cadres. So the PDI-P DPP does not tolerate disciplinary action," he added.

There is one agenda that was not discussed at this Rakernas. Previously, there would be an announcement of 44 2020 regional head candidates in this National Working Meeting, but it was canceled. The reason is that the discussion of candidates for regional head has not been carried out optimally.

"We want to hold a meeting (for the pilkada) marathon on January 5-January 8 but then because of the flood with such a large number of casualties, it creates responsibility for the human aspect to be put forward," said Hasto.

He added that the 2020 regional elections still had time, so there was no need to be rushed.

"So, after the Rakernas will be (announced) soon. So that later the results of the National Working Meeting will also become a commitment for regional heads to be announced," he said.

It is known, the 2020 regional elections will be held in 270 regions. There are 9 provinces that carry out the Pilgub election, 224 districts that carry out the election for Regent, and 37 cities that carry out the election for mayor.

The nine provinces that will hold gubernatorial elections include West Sumatra, Jambi, Bengkulu, Riau Islands, Central Kalimantan, South Kalimantan, North Kalimantan, North Sulawesi, Central Sulawesi.
