Indarung Padang Gas Station Catches Fire, Pertamina: People Can Refill Fuel At Two Other Gas Stations

JAKARTA - PT Pertamina (Persero) ensures that services to the public will not be disrupted even though gas station 14252501 Indarung in Koto Tangah District, Padang City, West Sumatra caught fire on Saturday, April 9, evening.

PT Pertamina Padang Sales Area Manager, I Made Wira, said fuel services were not disrupted because two gas stations were still operating not far from the location of the fire.

"There are Bandarbuat gas stations and Pitameh gas stations that operate to provide services to the public", he said, quoted by Antara, Sunday, April 10.

With the burning gas station, he said, his party wanted to ensure and maintain the safety of the community around the gas station.

In addition, he said, a joint investigation will be carried out to determine the cause of the fire at one of the gas stations in the city of Padang.

"We will definitely do it, both by the manager of SPBU14252501, namely the Semen Padang Employee Cooperative and the Pertamina Safety Team", he said.

Previously, a public fuel filling station (SPBU) in the Indarung area, Lubuk Kilangan District, Padang City, West Sumatra, was burned down on Saturday, April 9, evening.

Koto Tangah Head Police, Commissioner Lija Nesmon, confirmed the incident, and currently, his members are conducting data collection in the field.

Firefighters were seen extinguishing the fire using tools that were there but the fire continued to grow.
