Maruf-Sugiono Vice President Collage Actor Threatened With 6 Years Of Crime And A Fine Of Rp1 Billion

JAKARTA - Sulaiman Marpaung, the perpetrator of matching the photo collage of Vice President Ma'ruf Amin with Japanese porn actor Shigeo Tokuda or known as Sugiono's grandfather, faces up to six years in prison and a fine of Rp1 billion.

Karo Penmas, National Police Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Awi Setiyono said the perpetrator was suspected by Article 45A paragraph (2) in conjunction with Article 28 paragraph (2) and or Article 45 paragraph (3) in conjunction with Article 26 paragraph (3) of Law Number 19 of 2016 concerning amendments to the Law Number 11 of 2008 concerning ITE.

"With the threat of imprisonment of 6 years and or a maximum fine of 1 billion for Article 45 A and for Article 45 paragraph 3 with the threat of imprisonment of 4 years and / or a fine of 750 million," Awi told reporters, Friday, October 2.

Awi said that the case previously handled by the Tanjungbalai Police, North Sumatra was taken over by Bareskrim Polri. "The next case is investigated by Bareskrim Polri, namely Dirtipidsiber Bareskrim Polri," he said.

The arrest of Sulaiman, said Awi, was in accordance with the procedure. That is, there is sufficient preliminary evidence. In fact, he said, investigators had three pieces of evidence.

"Based on sufficient preliminary evidence, namely the examination of three witnesses and the confiscation of evidence in the form of three screenshots, eight posts and a Facebook account profile, a flashdisk containing screenshots of posting pages and a Facebook account profile in the name of Oliver S." he said.

Meanwhile the police arrested Sulaiman Marpaung. The arrests were made in Tanjungbalai, North Sumatra. "On Friday, October 2, an arrest was made of the owner of the Facebook account Oliver Leaman S, on behalf of SM," said Head of Public Relations Division of the National Police, Inspector General Argo Yuwono.

The arrests were made at the perpetrator's house on Jalan Lobe Daud LL VI, Sei Tualangrasi District, Tanjungbalai. The basis for the arrest was based on the Criminal Investigation Unit on September 30, 2020.

Sulaiman Marpaung was previously reported to the Tanjungbalai Police for uploading a photo collage of Vice President Ma'ruf Amin with 'Grandpa Sugiono'. The post on Oliver Leaman's Facebook account has now been deleted.

Sulaiman had previously apologized for uploading a photo collage accompanied by a narrative that alluded to the ulama.
