A Total Of 13,308 Elderly People In West Manggarai Have Been Vaccinated Against COVID-19

NTT - As many as 13,308 of the 17,061 elderly people in West Manggarai, East Nusa Tenggara, have received dose one of the COVID-19 vaccine.

"As of March 30, 2022, as many as 13,308 elderly people have received dose one with a percentage of 78.0 percent or good information," said Head of the West Manggarai Health Service Paulus Mami in Labuan Bajo, as reported by Antara, Thursday, April 7.

The West Manggarai Regency Government is indeed focused on providing vaccination services to the elderly, in doses of one, two, and booster.

It was recorded that the achievement of the second dose of vaccination had touched 68.1 percent or targeted 11,621 people. Meanwhile, the third dose only reached 8.4 percent or targeted 1,441 people.

Regarding the follow-up vaccination, he said as many as 17,061 elderly people will receive the service which will be spread to 22 health centers in West Manggarai.

The coverage of the first dose vaccination in West Manggarai until March 30, 2022 has reached 86.2 percent or as many as 174,737 people are vaccinated from the target of 202,827 people. Furthermore, the percentage of the second dose was 70.4 percent or as many as 142,753 people were vaccinated, while the achievement of the follow-up dose only touched 7.6 percent or as many as 15,427 people.

The provision of follow-up vaccination is of course carried out to residents who have carried out the second vaccination with a minimum distance of six months between the second vaccination and the follow-up vaccine. Not only that, the types of follow-up vaccines given will be adjusted to the types of vaccines in doses one and two.
