President Jokowi Visits Arrangement Of The Area And Multifunctional Terminal In Labuan Bajo
JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo reviewed a number of infrastructure developments in Ujung Village, Labuan Bajo, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT). Jokowi reviewed developments in the arrangement of the local area through the construction and arrangement of roads, pedestrians, beaches, and supporting drainage.
"There we set up the sidewalks, we renovated the old port, we moved to the new port at Wae Kelambu. We hope that the first stage will be completed at the end of 2020 and then the second stage will be completed in 2021, "Jokowi said as quoted from the Setkab website, Thursday, October 1.
Before conducting a survey in Kampung Ujung, President Jokowi first surveyed the Labuan Bajo Port area.
From Kampung Ujung, a series of work visits continued by examining the area and building facilities in Batu Cermin. Arrangement activities at that location have started since March 16. Currently, the development of structuring has reached 47 percent and will continue to be a process.
"Here it is indeed built at designated points in the area, which were planned last year. It has already started, like now what we see in the Batu Cermin area has started like this, ”he said.
In addition, Jokowi also reviewed the multi-function terminal construction project in the Wae Kelambu area. The terminal will be focused and intended to support loading and unloading activities of ship containers.
After surveying a number of locations, Jokowi handed over working capital assistance to micro and small entrepreneurs from Labuan Bajo.
Accompanying the President in a series of working visits included Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung and East Nusa Tenggara Governor Viktor Laiskodat.
