DPRD Banjarmasin: Paying Close Attention To The Suggestion Of Additional 4,000 Family Beneficiaries Of Social Assistance
BANJARMASIN - Member of DPRD Banjarmasin City, South Kalimantan Arufah Arif asked the local city government to pay close attention to the proposal for an additional 4,000 families (KK) who receive social assistance (Bansos) so that it is truly targeted.
According to Arufah, the public is often informed when conducting a recess or absorbing the aspirations of going directly to the community, there are social assistance recipients who actually do not have the right anymore.
"So we ask to look again at the data on the social assistance recipients, because many people have also been informed that people who actually have the right have not been able to get it," said Arufah, who sits on Commission IV, as reported by Antara, Wednesday, April 6.
His party also mentioned this during a meeting with the Banjarmasin City Social Service (Dinsos), where the data on additional proposals for social assistance recipients this year amounting to around 4 thousand to the central government must be scrutinized again so that no poor people are left behind.
"We also offer to help if needed to look at the data on the recipients of the social assistance, because we often go to the electoral district, we can ask the community about the current economic condition of the recipients of the social assistance," said the PPP politician.
Responding to this, the Acting Head of the Banjarmasin City Social Service, Iwan Ristianto, stated that this year it was indeed proposed to provide additional social assistance recipients in this city to the central government, the number was around 4 thousand.
To be precise, he said, the proposal was to be included in the Social Welfare Integrated Data (DTKS). Entering DTKS does not immediately get Social Assistance.
However, he explained, once it is included in the DTKS, it will make it easier for the central and regional governments to determine suitable and appropriate programs in alleviating or reducing poverty.
"Regarding, for example, there are social assistance recipients whose economy has improved, we cannot immediately withdraw them, because it is the authority of the central government, in this case the Ministry of Social Affairs, to either delete or lower the level," said Iwan.
Of course, he said, there would be an evaluation of the data on the social assistance recipients from the central government, where the data could be updated.
According to him, social assistance recipients in Banjarmasin City have increased to 70,000 households (KK), both from the city, provincial and central governments.
"In 2021, around 40 thousand families will receive social assistance benefits, this year it will increase to 70 thousand families," he said.
According to him, the increase of around 30 thousand families this year as the receipt of Social Welfare Security (JKS) benefits is called for this social assistance, both for the Family Hope Program (PKH), Non-Cash Food Assistance (BPNT) and BPJS health.
"But it must be understood, this increase does not mean that the poor in Banjarmasin City will increase," said Iwan.
But, he said, there was social assistance from the central government. The target was expanded, such as the inclusion of data on recipients of assistance for Micro and Small Enterprises (UMK) which amounted to Rp. 300 thousand per month.
"So this is how the central government aid data from various ministries for the people of Banjarmasin City, both social and economic, become one data now as the recipients of social benefits," he said.
