Afraid Of Being Disturbed, The Figure Of The General Chairman Of The Ummat Party Made By Amien Rais Is Still A Secret

JAKARTA - Loyalist Amien Rais who also joined the Ummat Party, Putra Jaya Husen gave a leak about the figure who will become the party chairman. According to him, currently the figure of the General Chairperson of the Ummat Party is there, but it has not been announced.

"There (general chairman, red) already exists. But later (announced, red). What is certain is he is an adult," said Putra during a conversation with VOI, Thursday, October 1.

According to him, the figure who is currently chosen is considered to have a better understanding of how to lead a party. "It's a new person. Later he doesn't know how to lead a party," he said.

However, when alluded to the figure in question, Putra, who is also one of the founders of the National Mandate Party (PAN), was reluctant to tell further. He also admitted that until now he did not know who would join the party structure because it was the Ummat Party Founding Council who decided to do this.

"(Whoever is the founding board, red) is also kept," he said.

As for the reason for this party to keep the names of the founding board to the chairman of the party closely, so that neither party disturbs these people who become party leaders. This is because, he considered, attempts to thwart the establishment of this party often happened.

"But we don't want to mention it. There are also those who feel disturbed too," he said.

Previously, through a video that lasted almost three minutes, former Chairman of the National Mandate Party (PAN) Amien Rais announced the new name of his party. It is not called PAN Reformasi as it has been calling for so far, this party is called the Ummat Party.

"Insyaallah, the Ummat Party is determined to work and fight together with the other nation's children," Amien said in a video uploaded to Amien Rais Official's YouTube account on Thursday, October 1.

In the video, the former chairman of the Indonesian People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) said that his new party would fight against injustice and uphold justice. In addition, this new party will work and struggle to uphold Pancasila, the 1945 Constitution, and universal democratic rules.

Furthermore, he explained, this party will always carry out Allah's orders in the holy Koran. There are two things he alluded to, first upholding virtue and eradicating evil. Second, uphold justice and eradicate injustice.

"If the former moves more at the personal, familial, and communal level at a more micro level. Then the second moves more at the national level, at the macro level and is closely related to issues of power," he said.
