Update On COVID-19 As Of October 1: 4,174 New Cases, Accumulated 291,182 Cases
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) releases the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 today. A total of 43,592 specimens were examined today. As a result, there were 4,174 new positive cases of COVID-19.
"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 291,182 people," the Ministry of Health was quoted as saying, Thursday, October 1.
Today's cases increased by 3,540, so that a total of 218,487 people recovered. Then, the confirmed positive cases who died increased by 116 people and a total of 10,851 people.
The province with the most new cases was in DKI Jakarta with 1,253 new cases and a total of 74,989 cases. DKI Jakarta is also the province with the most accumulated cases in Indonesia.
Followed by West Java which has 559 new cases with a total of 22,764 cases. East Java has 314 new cases and a total of 44,058 cases. Central Java has 299 new cases and a total of 22,734 cases. Then, Riau has 265 new cases and a total of 7,887 cases.
The province with the most cases recovered today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an increase of 1,122 recovered cases. Followed by East Java with an increase of 323 recovered cases, Riau with an increase of 279 recovered cases, and Central Java with an increase of 187 recovered cases.
Then, all provinces today have new cases. The additional cases under 10 were in North Kalimantan, Gorontalo, East Nusa Tenggara, and North Maluku.
In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined has reached 3,365,490. In detail, as many as 3,312,434 specimens were examined using real time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and 53,056 using molecular rapid tests (TCM).
"The number of positive results per number of specimens examined (positivity rate) was 14.4 percent," he wrote.
Finally, the number of people suspected of having contracted COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases, was recorded at 135,480 people. At present, 497 districts / cities from 34 provinces have had COVID-19 cases.
