These Are 29 Players Called Shin Tae-yong For The 2021 SEA Games Hanoi

JAKARTA – The coach of the Indonesia U-23 national team, Shin Tae-yong, has summoned 29 players to face the 2021 SEA Games Hanoi. The players who are called up will undergo a training camp in South Korea.

The names called will gather in Jakarta starting Wednesday, April 6, before leaving for South Korea later. They will follow Shin, who is currently in Korea for the U-19 Indonesia national team training camp.

PSSI General Chair Mochamad Iriawan said that the training camp program in South Korea was at the request of coach Shin Tae-yong.

"We hope that with good preparation, the Indonesian national team can win the 2021 SEA Games. With these players who are called up and always work hard, be disciplined and focused, PSSI is sure that this will be achieved," said Iriawan on the federation's website.

Of the 29 names called, there were four senior players. The four names are Fachruddin Aryanto, Irfan Jaya, Marc Klok, and Ricky Kambuaya.

In addition, the names of players who played abroad were also included in the call list for the South Korean coach. Among them are Elkan Baggott, Egy Maulana, Witan Sulaeman, Saddil Ramdani, and Pratama Arhan.

Indonesia is in Group A with hosts Vietnam, Myanmar, the Philippines and Timor Leste, for the event which will take place from 12-23 May 2022. Football is one of 32 sports that Indonesia departs for for the two-year event.
