Police Interrogate Expert Staff Of Attorney General ST Burhanuddin In Building Fire Case
JAKARTA - The police finally opened one of the Attorney General's officers to be questioned in connection with the AGO building fire case. The official is an expert staff of Attorney General ST Burhanuddin.
However, the police have not yet mentioned the identity of the expert staff at Attorney General ST Burhanuddin. However, he will be questioned regarding the fire at the Attorney General's Building.
Karo Penmas of the National Police's Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Awi Setiyono, said that his party also examined three other witnesses. They are from elements of the AGO and one witness from the Ministry of Trade.
"There were four witnesses examining, consisting of a dust cleaner seller, then an expert staff of the Attorney General, then the Attorney General's Legal Bureau, and Ministry of Trade staff," Awi told reporters, Thursday, October 1.
The examination of the four witnesses, said Awi, was aimed at completing the files being prepared both administratively and the results of the provisional investigation.
Then, investigators led by the Head of Criminal Investigation and Police have also conducted a case title with the Deputy Attorney General for General Crimes (Jampidum). Awi said, the case title was only for coordination and reporting on the results of case investigations.
However, with regard to potential suspicions that were said to be discussed in the case title, Awi said that investigators had not yet determined them. So far the case investigation is still ongoing.
"No, there are no (suspects) yet," he said.
Previously it was reported that the National Police would hold a fire exposure at the AGO building on a reschedule on Thursday, October 1. However, Awi did not explain in detail the points to be discussed.
According to him, the investigating team will continue the process of completing the investigation file by examining a witness. There has been no information regarding the witnesses being questioned.
"Investigators are also conducting an in-depth examination by conducting additional examinations of a witness, of course. This is to complete the filing related to the case in question," he said.
The Adhyaksa Corps building caught fire on Saturday, August 22 at 19.10 WIB. The fire lasted almost 12 hours.
