Businessman Charged With Bribery Langkat Regent Publish Plan To War Wind Rp572 Million

Muara Warin Angin is known to be a contractor in the Langkat district using three of his companies, namely CV Nizhami, CV Balyan Teknik and CV Sasaki.
Meanwhile, Terbit Plan Warin Angin is the 3rd child of 6 siblings and has an older brother named Iskandar Warin Angin who serves as the Head of Raja Tengah Village, Kuala District, Langkat Regency and is often referred to as "Pak Kades".
Terbit as the Regent of Langkat has trusted people, namely Iskandar Warin Angin, Marcos Surya Abdi, Shuhanda Citra and Isfi Syahfitra, commonly known as the "Kuala Group" to arrange tenders for the procurement of goods and services in Langkat Regency.
In 2021, Muara Warin Angin received a work package for direct appointment at the PUPR Service, namely a hotmix work package worth Rp. 2.867 billion; work packages for direct appointments, namely embankment rehabilitation, construction of fences and guard posts, construction of ring roads worth Rp971 million; as well as a direct appointment work package, namely the construction of SMPN 5 Stabat and SMP Hangtuah Stabat worth Rp.940.558 million.
On January 17, 2022, Muara met with Marcos and Isfi to ask for a reduction in the commitment fee to 15.5 percent and was approved by Iskandar so that the total that Muara had to submit was Rp572,221,414 and rounded up to Rp572 million.
Muara handed over Rp572 million on January 18, 2022, which was wrapped in black plastic to Ifi Syahfitra. Muara also handed over Rp13 million of money to Isfi and entrusted the money to M Azhar as the owner of CV Dharma Lestari in the amount of Rp100 million and to Wanda Ginting as the owner of CV Kalimasodo in the amount of Rp50 million.
On the same day, Isfi and Shuanda handed over Rp572 million to Marcos to be given to Terbit Plan through Iskandar and they were secured by KPK officers along with evidence of money.
For his actions, Muara is threatened with a criminal offense under Article 5 paragraph 1 letter b or Article 13 of Law No. 31 of 1999 as amended by Law No. 20 of 2001 concerning the Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption with a minimum penalty of 1 year and a maximum of 5 years and a minimum fine IDR 50 million maximum IDR 250 million.
Against the indictment, Muara did not file a memorandum of objection (exception). The KPK prosecutor said he would present 30 people as witnesses.
