Windows 11 Adds Many New Security Features To Protect Users From Cyber Threats
JAKARTA - Microsoft has just launched a series of news about Windows 11 and its ability to work hybrid on its blog, Monday, April 5.
"On behalf of the team, I'm excited to share what's coming in Windows 11 and Windows 365 for commercial customers in the management, security, and productivity and collaboration areas," said Panos Panay, Chief Product Officer, Windows + Devices.
Microsoft will bring Zero Trust chip-to-cloud security to Windows. It's tuned to help organizations meet new security challenges in the hybrid workplace, now and in the future.
Windows 11 introduces two powerful new features that attack the most common cyber attack techniques: phishing and targeted malware. Namely, Microsoft Defender SmartScreen which can detect and improve phishing protection.
Plus, Smart App Control, which uses code signing alongside Microsoft's powerful artificial intelligence model to ensure that only trusted apps run, blocks one of the biggest attack vectors in Windows by default.
Windows 11 is the most accessible and inclusive version of Windows. New features like Focus, system-wide AutoText, and Voice Access empower everyone, including people with disabilities, to do more. Focus Mode can help people with ADHD be more productive, the company says.
The company also added a Touch Snap layout to make it easier to quickly set up your app on touch-enabled devices.
Microsoft hasn't shared exactly when these features will be released to the public version of Windows 11, but clearly, it looks like they will be coming soon.
