Security, OB And Teller Collaborate To Fail The Robbery Of BJB Fatmawati Bank In The Daytime
JAKARTA - An attempted robbery took place at the West Java Bank (BJB) on Jalan Fatmawati Hospital, Cilandak, South Jalarta. However, this attempt was thwarted by local bank security officers.
Mukhlis, a security officer at Bank BJB, said that the incident occurred on Tuesday, April 5, at 14.30 WIB. At that time, said Mukhlis, the bank had stopped operating.
"When we are closed. Because the operation is from 9 am to 14.00 WIB," said Muklis, Tuesday, April 5.
Mukhlis explained that the perpetrator acted alone. The perpetrator came using a Daihatsu Xenia car and went straight into the bank and took out an air softgun.
"At that time (the rolling door) was closed, he (the perpetrator) went straight in and took out an air softgun," said Mukhlis.
Mukhlis still said that at the time of the incident he was still on guard and trying to dispel the perpetrators. Luckily, the perpetrator's actions were thwarted.
"Immediately arrested, assisted by the OB (office boy) and the teller," said Mukhlis.
Head of the Corporate Secretary Division of Bank BJB, Widi Hartoto, spoke about the case. He appreciated the security officers who were able to thwart the attempted robbery.
"We appreciate the BJB Bank security officers who managed to thwart the robbery," said Widi.
Widi advised customers not to hesitate to ask the officers for help when taking large amounts of money. This is done to prevent the occurrence of criminal acts.
"In the future, if there are customers who want to take large amounts of money, they can ask the police for help," he said.
Contacted separately, the South Jakarta Metro Police Chief, South Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Pol Budhi Herdi Susianto did not have time to rob the perpetrators because local security arrested the perpetrators first.
"Attempt (robbery). Not successful but has been arrested," said Budhi when confirmed, Tuesday, April 5.
