JIS Wants To Be Used For Eid Prayers, Deputy Governor Of DKI: Grateful To Have A Stadium That Becomes Pride
JAKARTA - Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Ahmad Riza Patroa revealed the DKI Provincial Government's plan to hold Eid prayers 1443 H at the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS).
Currently, JIS is still in the final stage of construction. It is planned that construction will be completed this month.
Riza said JIS is a magnificent stadium that is the pride of the citizens of Jakarta. Moreover, the location is large enough to hold congregational prayers.
"The first is that the place is spacious and strategic. At the same time, we are grateful that it has become a stadium that we are proud of," said Riza at the DKI Jakarta DPRD Building, Central Jakarta, Tuesday, April 5.
The Eid prayer, said Riza, could also be a momentum to promote that Jakarta has an international class stadium.
Riza also hopes that the community can help socialize the existence of JIS.
"Please support the community to help socialize that now Jakarta and also Indonesia certainly have an international stadium that they are proud of," he explained.
For information, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government organizes various activities during the month of Ramadan and Eid prayers 1443 H. A number of activities will be held at JIS, namely the takbiran night festival and Eid prayers.
Head of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Mental and Spiritual Education (Dikmental) Bureau, Gunas Mahdianto, revealed that this activity has the theme "Celebrate Togetherness". There are also charitable activities that aim to foster a spirit of sharing among others.
