JAKARTA - The Buntu Kunik Airport in Tana Toraja, South Sulawesi (Sulsel) will soon be inaugurated. President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) hopes to inaugurate this airport.

This was conveyed by the Governor of South Sulawesi Nurdin Abdullah after a working visit in Tana Toraja and North Toraja Regencies.

"First, I directly checked the preparations for the inauguration of Buntu Kunik Airport, in the near future the Minister of Transportation will also come to see first hand the condition of the airport, which currently serves 4 flights per week. We hope that in the future there will be flights every day, ”said Nurdin Abdullah, Wednesday, September 30.

During his visit, the Governor of South Sulawesi also visited the Bua Rest Area. The development of this rest area is expected to provide the best services for both foreign and domestic tourists.

"Then I reviewed the progress of road construction connecting North Toraja and Luwu, namely the isolated areas of Rantepao, Bastem and Bua. We hope that by 2021 this road project will be completed," continued Nurdin.
