One Resident's House In Kembangan, West Jakarta, Caught Fire, 8 Units Of Fire Trucks Were Sent Down

JAKARTA - Another fire incident hit residential areas on Jalan Terate, RT 011/004, North Kembangan Village, West Jakarta on Monday, April 4, evening.

Residents reported to the West Jakarta Fire and Rescue Sub-Department Office (Sudin Gulkarmat) at around 21.55 WIB.

Gulkarmat Sub-dept. officers immediately dispatched 8 units of fire engines to the fire location at 22.01 WIB.

"Fire suppression operations were carried out starting at 22.02 and the fire was successfully cooled at 22.03 WIB. The fire was successfully controlled by officers in the field," said Head of West Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept. Sjukri Bahanan, Tuesday, April 5.

After deploying 40 firefighters to tame the fire, the officers managed to complete the extinguishing operation at around 22:22 WIB.

"It is suspected that the cause of the fire was an electric short circuit," he explained.

Luckily, the fire was extinguished and did not spread to other buildings. As a result of this fire incident, the outside of the burned object was 16 square meters.

"The house is inhabited by one family head with 4 people. The loss is estimated at Rp. 10 million," he said.
