Bareskrim Investigate Fraud Case Of Richard Mille Luxury Watch Rp77 Billion, Purchased In 2019 Until Now Not Arrived

JAKARTA - The Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police is investigating a case of alleged fraud in the purchase of Richard Mille's luxury watch worth Rp. 77 billion. In this case, it is known that the purchase has been since 2019, but the watch has not been received.

Director of Special Economic Crimes at the National Police Criminal Investigation Agency Brigadier General Whisnu Hermawan said the handling of this case was still in the stage of searching for evidence and clues.

"Still investigating (investigation, ed)," said Brigadier General Whisnu when confirmed, Monday, April 4.

Meanwhile, the victim of fraud, Tony Sutrisno, through his lawyer Royandi Haichal, said that his party submitted evidence in the form of screenshots of communications with Richard Mille's staff.

"Today, adding to the evidence that was reported on June 28 to confirm it again," continued Royandi.

The additional evidence is included in the report file that has been registered at STTL/265/VIL2021/BARESKRIM.

Then, Royandi also questioned the progress of handling the case. The reported party is known to be Richard Lee, who is Richard Mille's brand manager in Indonesia.

"We hope this case will be resolved soon," said Royandi.

For information, Tony Sutrisno bought two Richard Mille watches for Rp. 77 billion. However, the two hours have not been received until now.

The purchase of the watch went through a pre-order system in 2019. However, until 2021, the Rp28 billion black sapphire and Rp49 billion blue sapphire watch had not been received.
