Purchasing Power Of Bogor Residents Increased Rp93 Thousand

BOGOR - Bogor Regent, Ade Yasin said the purchasing power of residents of Bogor Regency, West Java, increased by Rp. 93 thousand in 2021 compared to the previous year.

"The purchasing power index, which is characterized by per capita expenditure in 2021, will reach Rp. 10,410,000, an increase of Rp. 93,000 from 2020," he said in Cibinong, Bogor, quoted by Antara, Monday, April 4.

Average expenditure per capita is the cost incurred for the consumption of all household members for a month, then divided by the number of household members in the household.

The chairman of the Bogor Regency COVID-19 Handling Task Force hopes that, after the third wave of COVID-19 transmission cases receded, the economic recovery in his area could run smoothly without any obstacles.

Ade Yasin explained, data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) showed that the LPE of Bogor Regency shot up in 2021, after the figure had dropped in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In 2021, Bogor Regency's LPE will increase significantly by 5.25 percent or to 3.48 percent. The reason is, in 2020 the number dropped to minus (-) 1.7 percent compared to 2019 which was 5.85 percent.

Not only that, the Bogor Regency Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) in 2021 also broke at Rp. 245.22 trillion, much higher than in 2020 which was worth Rp. 236.15 trillion and in 2019 it was worth Rp. 237.2 trillion.

"This is the fruit of the hard work of the Bogor Regency Government and stakeholders of course," said Ade Yasin.

He said the Bogor Regency's human development index (IPM) was also starting to recover to 70.48 points in 2021. In 2020, Bogor Regency's HDI fell to 70.40 points from the previous 70.65 points.
