Helping The People's Economy, Regent Herman Suherman Asks ASN For Cianjur Shopping For Traditional Markets
CIANJUR - The Regent of Cianjur, West Java, Herman Suherman, instructed all ASN in the Cianjur Regency Government to shop at traditional markets at least once a week.
This will directly improve the economy of residents who had slumped during the pandemic.
"All levels must enliven the market in Cianjur, including ASN, as an effort to revive the economy at the local level, including buying MSME products," said Herman in Cianjur, Antara, Monday, April 4.
To strengthen the instructions, his party has issued a circular and it has been distributed to all offices and agencies to the sub-district level to be implemented, so that there are no more complaints from traders who are empty of buyers.
He hoped that the same thing would be done by all levels of society, including Forkopimda which instructed its members to shop at the existing people's markets, so that the economy to remote areas could revive.
Head of the Cianjur Industry and Trade Cooperatives Service (Diskoperindag) Tohari Sastra said the regent had signed a circular regarding ASN directives to shop at traditional markets at least once a week.
“The circular letter is addressed to the heads of OPD, sub-district heads to village heads, which says that on certain days they shop at traditional markets in Cianjur. Every activity has to buy food from traditional markets or SMEs," he said.
With this policy, it is hoped that traders who sell can be enthusiastic about starting their business again, because ASN becomes a regular buyer every week, according to the instructions of the Cianjur Regent.
However, he said no sanctions would be imposed for those who did not shop at traditional markets.
"We will make a second appeal and this is to remind ASN in Cianjur that they can carry out a circular from the regent to revive traditional markets," he said.
