Electronic Ticket Enforcement Money Has Not Been Used, Kakorlantas: Struggled To Add E-TLE To Buy Safety Equipment
JAKARTA - Funds from the Electronic Traffic Law Enforcement (E-TLE) ticket that have entered the state treasury have not been used. Korlantas Polri also encourages the use of these funds.
"Where are the ticketed funds? They don't go anywhere. That's why we are still fighting for it rather than not being used," said Police Headquarters Inspector General Firman Shantyabudi to reporters, Monday, April 4.
According to Firman, until now there has been no use of these funds. Korlantas will coordinate with related parties for its utilization.
The funds can be used to procure E-TLE cameras. Thus, the expansion of the E-TLE area which will have a good impact on traffic can be carried out.
"Struggled to add more ETLE, add our rescue vehicles," said Firman.
According to Kakorlantas, the ticket proceeds can also be used to purchase rescue equipment to reduce the number of deaths due to accidents. Because, until now the availability is still minimal.
“Yesterday, the people who were victims of this accident were trapped, the tools to help were still very minimal. We have also coordinated with our friends at Jasa Marga, please buy it, because the police don't have that much money either," said Firman.
