Easy Ways To Play Roblox On Your Chromebook
JAKARTA - Roblox has been released since 2006. Roblox is an online game platform and game creation system that allows users to program games and play games created by other users.
There aren't many popular games available on Chromebooks, but Roblox has a solid community with lots of free games available.
How to Play Roblox on a Chromebook
Some Chromebooks are not compatible with the Google Play Store. As time goes on, this becomes a lot less common, but what if you're one of the unlucky ones stuck without access to the Play Store?
You can still download Roblox with or without the Play Store, using one of the two methods VOI has listed below.
Method 1: Downloading Roblox via Google Play Store
Downloading Roblox via the Google Play Store is very simple. You just need to make sure that your Chromebook is compatible with the Play Store app, and that it's activated. To check, go to Settings then Apps via the left menu.
On the Apps tab, you will see the Google Play Store, and whether it is enabled or not. Make sure you set it to On. You can now download Roblox to your Chromebook via the Play Store.
Just go to Play Store, it should have a shortcut at the bottom of your screen. Once in the Play Store, search for Roblox. Click Install in the upper right corner to download and install Roblox to your Chromebook.Method 2: Installing Roblox with ARC Welder
ARC Welder will allow you to install Roblox onto your Chromebook, and it's not that hard to do. You need to be knowledgeable about downloading APKs, which are generally quite simple.
Some APKs don't work with certain Chromebooks, so keep in mind that your situation may be different when following these steps. If a particular APK doesn't work for you, there are plenty of APKs out there to download.
Download the Roblox APK. You can download APKs from sites like APKpure. Search ARC Welder by arc_eng on Play Store and download it. Open ARC Welder and select “Select”. Now you need to select the directory where you downloaded Roblox, and click the Open button. You'll need to make sure that you've added the Roblox APK to the folder, as ARC Welder needs to open through folders rather than opening individual files. Select Add APK File in ARC Welder and find the Roblox APK which will be in the folder you created for it. Adjust the settings in the Test Your Application dialog in ARC Welder to your liking.By following these steps, you can now play Roblox on your Chromebook.
Playing Roblox via Remote Session
If your friend has a PC or Mac, they can let you play Roblox through their computer by allowing you to access it remotely. Your friend must have the Roblox and Chrome Remote Desktop apps installed on their machine. You'll also need the Chrome Remote Desktop app installed on your Chromebook.
To play Roblox via Remote Session:
Launch the Chrome Remote Desktop app on your Chromebook, and have your friends launch the app on their PC/Mac. Follow the on-screen instructions to establish a connection between the two devices. Set the connection as Remote Assistance, or if you plan to use this method a lot, choose My Computer, which will require PC/Mac owners to install Remote Desktop Chrome Host.Following these instructions, you should now have remote access and be able to play Roblox on your Chromebook.
Boost Roblox Performance on Chromebook
Since they didn't build Chromebooks with gaming in mind, you might run into some performance issues. There are several things you can do to make sure Roblox runs as smoothly as possible.
Close other high-powered applications, such as Chrome Browser, or other applications. While in Roblox, press the Esc key then go to Settings > Graphics and turn off Auto, then choose the lowest possible graphic. Enable hyper-threading, which improves in-game performance. To do so, type chrome://flags#scheduler-configuration in your browser's address bar then select Enable Hyper-Threading on the relevant CPU, then select Restart. If the above solutions don't improve the performance of Roblox on your Chromebook, you'll unfortunately have to upgrade the device you're using to play it on.
