British Caucasians Died In Falls In Denpasar River, Allegedly Drunk

DENPASAR - British foreign national, Michael Andrew (36) was found dead on Jalan Pulau Serangan, South Denpasar, Bali. Andrew is thought to have died in an accident due to losing control while riding a motorcycle.

"The results of checking the TKP (the crime scene) are suspected to be out of control from the accident," said South Denpasar Police Chief Kompol I Gede Sudyatmaja, Monday, April 4.

The victim is believed to have been under the influence of alcohol while driving. This British Caucasian then had an accident and fell into a river.

"The suspicion is like that (drunk driving). But we are still going deeper (and asking) for statements from other witnesses. And we are still conducting further investigations," he added.

Regarding the autopsy, the police will coordinate with the British consulate in Bali. "We are still (coordinating) with the consulate for autopsies," he said.

British Caucasian Andrew was found dead in the Suwung landfill, on Sunday, April 3. The body was taken to Sanglah Hospital.
