Entering The Perindo Party, Former ICW Activist Tama Explains The Reason

JAKARTA - Former Indonesia Corruption Watch (ICW) activist, Tama S. Langkun joined the Perindo Party as Head of the Legal and Human Rights Division of the Perindo Party DPP.

Tama explains the reason why she joined as a party politician. First, Tama views that currently political parties are assumed to be close to corrupt practices. Therefore, Tama wants the idea of eradicating corruption when he joins the party.

"It is not impossible (for the idea of eradicating corruption) if you see Perindo as a relatively new party. Especially if it is fully supported by all administrators, members, including Perindo Party supporters," Tama said in a statement, Sunday, April 3.

Second, Tama considers the task he got from the General Chairperson of Perindo Hary according to the field and expertise he has been involved in so far.

"Hopefully the Perindo Party can offer solutions to the problems faced by the community, both in terms of legal issues, eradicating corruption, and protecting the rights of victims," said Tama.

Tama said she was happy with the opportunity given to her. He interprets this as an opportunity for the younger generation who have the desire to enter politics.

"This is proof that the space for youth, millennials to join the Perindo Party is very large," he said.

For your information, Tama has been a researcher at ICW for the last 12 years. After resigning from ICW, Tama worked as an expert at the Witness and Victim Protection Agency (LPSK) from 2021 to March 2022.
