Ronald Araujo And Gavi Start To Be Courted By Other Clubs, Xavi Asks Barcelona To Move Quickly

JAKARTA - Barcelona began to rise under the tutelage of Xavi Hernandez. This is also inseparable from the extraordinary appearance of the players from the Catalan club.

Two names that got the spotlight were Ronald Araujo and Gavi. Both are considered to be new pillars in the midfield and behind Barcelona.

Naturally, many clubs are eyeing these two players. Barcelona certainly must move quickly if they do not want their two potential players to go hijacked by other clubs.

The reason is, the two players' contracts will expire in the summer of 2023. Barcelona's management was asked to immediately extend their second contract.

According to Spanish media reports Mundo Deportivo, the club has not yet been able to reach the wage demands demanded by the two players.

"The club can't lose Gavi and Araujo, they are very important for us and I showed that by giving playing minutes," Xavi said, as reported by Antara.

"I'm optimistic and I hope a solution can be found soon. I think it's a matter of time or so I hope," he continued.

Ronald Araujo himself was linked with Premier League side Manchester United last month. Several sources say they are ready to double the salary of the Uruguayan national team defender.

Meanwhile, Gavi's situation in Barcelona continues to be monitored by Liverpool.
