Through Rewards, Magelang SMEs Can Enter Europe To Hong Kong
JAKARTA - Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo is committed to promoting Central Java's micro, small and medium enterprises (UMKM) products to foreign countries. Efforts to promote local products are carried out by Ganjar by utilizing Ganjar on social media. One of the MSME products that has been successfully encouraged to enter the international market is honey products in Borobudur, Magelang. Ganjar bought cerana honey for bone health when he visited the home of the producer Wijaya Madu Borobudur in Kesawan. "That's right, coincidentally, the hand (after the accident) needed to be rehabilitated," said Ganjar in a written statement, Saturday, March 2.
The owner of the Wijaya Madu UMKM, Aklis Nurdiansyah, said he was grateful to have Ganjar's support. His honey business has grown rapidly after being promoted through the Ganjar program. "Thanks to Ganjar my honey became famous. Here is ginseng honey, calliandra honey, rambutan honey, and cerana honey," said Aklis.
He detailed sales that increased rapidly after being promoted by Ganjar. According to Aklis, sales have increased by 300 percent. Not only the increase in sales, it turns out that the uploads on Ganjar have also made Wijaya's honey products known to foreign countries. "Many are taken abroad, such as in Europe. For example, those who have a resort business here, they bring them there for souvenirs. Last February there was an order from Hong Kong," said Aklis.
