Taylor Hawkins Dies, Foo Fighters Cancels Tour And Is Projected Not To Attend The 2022 Grammy Awards
JAKARTA - The band Foo Fighters canceled their appearance at the 2022 Grammy Awards. This announcement was made in view of the sad situation they experienced after the death of their drummer, Taylor Hawkins.
In addition, Foo Fighters also canceled the entire series of tours that had been announced. They are still taking time for the band's family following the departure of Taylor Hawkins.
"It is with sadness that Foo Fighters confirms the cancellation of all tours following the passing of our brother, Taylor Hawkins," the Foo Fighters wrote on their social media.
“We apologize for not being able to meet you as planned. Let's take this time to grieve, heal, get closer to our loved ones and appreciate all the music and memories we make."
The band hasn't talked about a Grammy appearance yet but many fans are speculating that the Foo Fighters won't be performing. Apart from that, the Grammys reportedly made a tribute to the drummer on the peak night.
Taylor Hawkins was found dead in a hotel in Bogota, Colombia on Friday, March 25. In addition, several types of medicinal substances were found in Hawkins' body after the investigation process.
However, investigators did not say whether the drugs were the reason for the musician's death. Taylor Hawkins died at the age of 50.
